Spring cruise day 5

Knapp’s narrows was quite the experience.  In spite of its reputation, there was plenty of water and it was very enjoyable. Lots of cool boat building barns and wooden boats of all descriptions docked all along the way.  There was a distinct smell of fish though.

The wind on the South River was so excellent we had no choice but to sail past Harness Creek and all the way to the bridge, where we found a really nice accessible fuel dock right at the bridge.  The bridge was definitely tall enough to accommodate us so we will have to file that option away for the future to explore more thoroughly.

We anchored on Harness Creek and walked Quiet Waters Park, in between rain storms.

The park was full of nearly tame deer.
